Krystal Briseno

Krystal is a Determined to Succeed alumnus. She joined the program in middle school and stayed with the organization through all of high school and college. She graduated from the University of California, Santa Cruz with a bachelor’s in Language Studies in June of 2020. During her time at UC Santa Cruz, she worked as a writing tutor and peer advisor for international students. After graduation, Krystal transitioned from DTS student to DTS staff member. This was a seamless transition because she spent her college summers working as a program intern and had already developed relationships with students in the program.
