A Warm Welcome Back
This fall, Jordan Briseño, member of our College 2023 Class, jumped at the opportunity to join the staff team as an Advisor. He shares, “In eleventh grade, I was truant quite often and my grades dropped. DTS stepped in to help me when I needed it the most. They helped me get back on track emotionally and academically. Now, with my college degree, I can be there for younger students to help them develop the tools they need to feel good about themselves in and out of school.”
Melissa, a 10th grader who selected Jordan to be her Advisor, notes, “Jordan understands what I am going through with each of my classes. After our weekly check-ins, I feel reassured because he helps me think positively about myself and my abilities. He is encouraging and gives me helpful advice.”
