Super Saturdays

DTS seniors do not sleep in on Saturdays! Instead they are at the office by 8:30 am. Staff members Maddy and Jordan provide them with the space, time, and guidance they need to complete all college application related tasks. After breakfast, the day starts with a morning meditation followed by intention setting. Then two long blocks of work time are punctuated by a twenty minute exercise break. The session closes with council, allowing them to connect and talk through what is going on in their lives.  One student notes his gratitude for College Application Saturdays. He shares, “I’m grateful to just be able to focus on college stuff because I get more work done here than on my own. I don’t have to think about college applications during the week which lets me balance my workload. Without DTS I think this process would be overwhelming.”
